Georgian Townhouse Accommodation

No 6 The Square Tearooms & Accommodation occupies a Grade II-listed Georgian building built in 1806, directly opposite Buxton Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. It offers four double en-suite rooms named after their views, all with kettles, tea/coffee makers, and flat-screen TVs. Two front rooms feature garden views and are the largest. Ground-floor apartment No.7 includes a kitchen with fridge and toaster.

Traditional Tea Room Dining

The property serves homemade scones for afternoon tea, light meals, and breakfast in tearooms overlooking the Opera House. The menu focuses on British classics like sandwiches and cakes baked daily. Coffee and tea service runs throughout operating hours.

Meeting Spaces Available

The John White Room seats 12 for meetings with natural light and Pavilion Gardens views. Private functions accommodate up to 30 guests informally or 20 seated. Rates start at £45 for half-day room hire including refreshments ordered from the tearooms.

Central Buxton Location

Situated opposite the 23-acre Pavilion Gardens, the hotel is a 5-minute walk from Buxton Museum, The Pump Room, and multiple bus stops with connections to Manchester Airport (26 km away). Free overnight parking is available outside, with 24-hour lots at nearby Slopes and Market Place car parks.
